Day 54

Drink your veggies!

I've been getting lots of use from my blender lately!
It's kind of a satisfying feeling knowing I can get the day's recommended 5 servings of fruits and veggies in one drink.  
The bonus is that my children are willing to try kale, spinach, beets, and more when the veggies are blended with berries and honey... but when presented with the same veg as a side dish, 
they politely, yet firmly refuse to eat.
It's all about presentation, I guess!

Day 51

Backyard visitors!

 These tiny little birds are so charming! 
 They love to visit Sigmund's pond.

 The hummingbirds love the sage blossoms, 
and are so bold, they'll flutter so close to us!
Single knee to chest stretch
This is a really easy stretch to relieve and prevent low back pain and gently stretch the hamstrings on the bent leg and the hip-flexors on the straight leg.  It can be practiced lying, sitting, or standing by anyone anywhere.

Check out this great big eucalyptus tree we found in our day's exploring!  I couldn't resist climbing it, and it smelled amazing!
Too bad there are no koala bears in San Diego, though.
